Abstract: This demo is based on the idea to rewrite the Macromedia Flash based interactive online comic www.cafeobskur.de using Javascript, AJAX and SVG.
Technical details: This demo was written to work in Firefox 1.5. It was successfully tested on WinXP in Firefox 1.5 and Opera 9 preview 2 (in Opera it only works after browser cache was cleared). It will not work with Microsoft Internet Explorer / Adobe SVG Plugin or Firefox 1.0.x. It's a work in progress.
Caution: Entering high numbers below may result in a long waiting time! If nothing seems to happen after you hit START just be patient.
